Getting Around
2025 Statement - Where we will be
Our residents enjoy access to all transport networks at a level equal to or better than that enjoyed by people in other parts of Sydney. Residents have a choice of transport options beyond the private car.
Blacktown City has an integrated transport system which links various nodes and improves access to and within the City. Traffic in our CBDs and shopping areas is well managed, with safe and affordable parking facilities to encourage the use of local services and cater to the demand for commuter parking.
Public transport in new release areas is provided at the outset of development to ensure that the first residents enjoy full access and public transport becomes a lifelong habit. All 10 railway stations within the City have a commuter carpark commensurate with the needs and demands of the particular station.
Affordable transport services and infrastructure make movement around the City easy, efficient and environmentally sustainable. Quality public transport services connect major facilities and outer suburbs and, along with infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians, provide attractive alternatives to motor vehicles. This promotes health, community interaction and economic opportunity as well as creating a significantly safer, cleaner and calmer City environment.
