The Department of Local Government has implemented significant reforms relating to the strategic planning processes and requirements of NSW councils. These new Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements for Council include the need to prepare a series of strategic planning documents with an accompanying resourcing strategy. Council has proactively responded to these requirements having already completed its own Community Strategic Plan - Blacktown City 2025 in 2008.
